Our breed is protected by the Verband Deutscher Hunde (VDH),
the Schweizer-Sennenhunde Verein für Deutschand (SSV),
and the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
We and our dogs live not far from Berlin in an area rich in beautiful woodland and lakes - an invitaion to go out for very long walks ! Here the dogs can romp and enjoy being in the countryside. The dogs live with us and are fill members of the family, wether in the house or in the garden. Their favourite pastimes are going on car journeys and being caressed.
We have been breeding Bernese mountain dogs for decades and still feel graet joy at the beauty of bringing up a new living creature. Our aims are to breed healthy, stong dogs, true to breed, and to achieve beauty and excellence through the careful selection of mates.
From our breed came the successful dog, Benno vom Bergfelder-Land, who reached the grand age of 13.
After 1990 we brought in new blood from the well-known breeding from them, Sepp and Sissi, grew fast! Sepp won the titel Deutsche Bundessieger in 1995, and later the titels Inter-Chanpion, German-Champion, as well many other titels abroad.
Sepp`s sister, Sissi vom Soonwaldblick, became a first-class breeding bitch, and it was from the mating of Sissi and Aldo vom Ellernkolk that our Festus vom Bergfelder-Land was born.
Today, Festus is a six-year old dog with a braod chest, food depth of brisket, well-ribbed and stong-loined, as well as being well marked. De is DH-Free, ED-0, OCD-0 (that is, free from hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and osteochondritis) and has passed the GH1 and GH2 obedience tests. He is Inter-Champion, German Champion, and has also won a number of championships abroad. At the Welthunde-Ausstellung ( international dog show) in Dortmund in 2003, he was placed second in the “Ehren” 8honours) class.
With thier friendly pernonality, and thanks to the good training organized by our regional club we have no problems with our Bernese mountain dogs. On the contrary, they give us much joy and the stength for new thinks, as well as a great deal of happiness.
A We offer any one interested the best possible advice on nutrition, grooming, care, and breeding. We are in constand touch with the new owners of our puppies.
B We regularly attend the breeders` seminares organized by the SSV.
C We are regular participants at the breeders`Workshops run by Pedigree, so that our knowledge and competence as dog-breeders are always absolutely up-to-date and with the best interests of the animals in the forefront.
